Michel Salsmann

Michel Salsmann is a French artist and art professor, born in 1948 in Colmar, living and working in Paris.

He has been painting since 1966. From 1980 to 1984, he was responsible for the lithography class at the Cité Internationale des Arts in Paris. From 1983 to 1993, he was a part of the educational service of the National Museum of Modern Art (Center Pompidou), responsible, among other things, for training the staff. Since 1980 and till 2002, he taught at the department of Fine Arts of the University Paris 1 – Sorbonne. In 1993 he became an appointed professor at the Ecole Nationale Supérieure des Beaux-Arts in Paris, where he taught multimedia from 1998 to 2001, and the printing from 2001 to 2004.

In 1995, he received the Prize at the Sofia Triennial of Engraving.
