Jarek Kruk

Jarek Kruk is a Polish painter and graphic designer, living and working in France. He was born in 1956. From 1980 to 1982, he studied painting and drawing at the Institute of Fine Arts in Lublin. In 1983, he left Poland and settled in Lille, France where he continued his studies at the local Fine Arts Academy. He graduated in 1988. Then he moved to Paris, where he lives and works till this day. He participated in numerous exhibitions in France and Poland.

The human being is at the heart of Jarek Kruk’s artistic research. The artist also deals with such topics as the passage of time, space and light, truth and illusion, false and virtual reality. In his latest figurative works, he combines traditional (acrylic, charcoal, collage …) and digital techniques. He is close to the Decentrism movement.
