Michal Batory “Images without title” at the Galerie Roi Doré

Galerie Roi Doré is pleased to invite you to the opening of Michal Batory’s “Images without title” exhibition on Thursday, April 14, 2011, from 6 pm.

In parallel to the artist’s retrospective exhibition at the Museum of Decorative Arts (until April 30, 2011), the Galerie Roi Doré invites you to discover the graphic universe of Michal Batory through a selection of 32 paintings – Images without title, unique artworks, never presented before. The exhibition will be accompanied by a catalog published on canvas in 32 numbered copies signed by the artist.

“The Roi Doré gallery will soon present my images, in an approach completely opposite to that of the Museum of Decorative Arts. I was indeed interested in this question: what happens if I remove from my images all the texts, the logos, and the so-called parasites? Bare and exposed like paintings, my images become objects of contemporary art” – Michal Batory, extract from the interview published on the paris-art.com website.
